Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly; not domineering over those in your charge,

but being examples to the flock.               1 Peter 5: 2-3

I gave my life to the Lord 66 years ago. My wife Eva and I also reach out to our neighbors to the north as we are associated with the One Way Evangelical Missions. Having been a rancher and math teacher for many years, we moved on to the kids ministry. We have been blessed with so many kids coming to the Lord. We have 9 children, 14 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. I believe the Berean BIble Church hopes to bring others to a saving faith in Christ.

I asked Jesus to be my Lord and Savior at the age of 9 at the First Baptist Church in Deadwood, SD where I grew up. I met my beautiful wife Jennifer, while serving in the US Army / 82nd Airborne Division, in Fayetteville, NC. We have been married for over 40 years now. I am retired from the US Fish and Wildlife Service where I managed National Wildlife Refuges and performed law enforcement and prescribed fire duties for that agency, at several locations across the nation. I have been an Elder for several years at Valentine Berean Church and feel privileged to serve a fun and growing church.

I and my wife Janet, ranch west of Crookston Ne. I became a Christian at about age 13 after watching a Billy Graham Crusado on TV. I repented of my sins and asked the Lord to be my Savior. I believe that growing in Christ is by studying God's word, fellowship with other believers and praying to the Lord during morning and evening devotions , and prayer anytime! I believe that evil is anything that opposes God's Word.

I was raised on a ranch outside Valentine, NE and was brought up in faith through the Valentine Berean Church.  I accepted Jesus Christ as my savior at a young age through this church. After graduating from the University of Nebraska, I married my beautiful wife (we met at Lincoln Berean Church while attending the university).  The Lord took us on a journey through Chicago, IL where I completed a Master’s Certificate in Biblical Studies at Moody Theological Seminary. Since then, God has graciously brought us back to the ranch at Valentine and blessed us with two children!

Dallas Dodson

Dallas turned his heart over to Christ at the age of 39 after many years of “head knowledge.” He realized that he had never asked for forgiveness of his sins and needed to make things personal with his Savior. He has been a member of Valentine Berean Church for 25 years. His service to VBC includes being an elder, bookkeeper for the VBC treasurer, Sound Booth technician, serves on a Service Group, and digs holes, pounds nails and sings in the choir when needed. He has been involved with our Valentine community and is serving on the Niobrara River Council, served as VHS School Board Member and past vice Chair of the local Nebraska Cattlemen chapter. Dallas is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and has been a life long rancher. He and his wife, Kandi, of 42 years have 2 sons and 6 grandchildren. His hobbies include reading, hunting, telling hunting stories and playing with his grandchildren.
