• Kids will remain in their Sunday School classes until their parents come to get them. Thank you for understanding. 

• White Poinsettias are available for purchase to help decorate the church for the Christmas Season. The cost is $15. See the sign up sheet in the church foyer. Make your check to VBC and in the memo write Poinsettia. If you use cash, mark the envelope as well. You can write a message that will be written on the card. You can take your Poinsettia home after Christmas Eve service. 

• Food Pantry items for November are instant/complete potatoes

• The Weekend Pantry is looking for donations. See the flyer on the bulletin board downstairs or on the glass door in the sanctuary. This provides food for kids who are home without food over the weekend.

• There will not be a Men's Bible Study on Friday, November 28th.

• The Sunday School students have made bookmarks for adults to take home as a reminder to pray for that student throughout the school year. At the end of May the bookmarks will be returned to the student. Thank you for praying for these young people. The bookmarks are located on the table outside by the front doors. 

• The Baptist Church has invited any volunteers that want to help pack Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes into shipping crates to come to their church November 23rd from 1-3pm.  Thanks to everyone that packed shoeboxes locally or online.  Please continue to pray that each box is delivered safely and that children respond to the Gospel message.  

Events: 

• Valentine Community Thanksgiving Meal will be held Thursday, November 27 from 11 am - 2 pm at the Catholic Parish Hall. Anyone is welcome to attend. Our church is providing the desserts. If you signed up to prepare a dessert, please have it in our church kitchen before Wed the 26th at 11:30 am.

• Community Christmas Cantata rehearsal "One Holy Night" practice on Sunday nights at the Methodist Church at 7:00 pm 

Sign Up: 

• We are in need of a Sunday school teacher for the 3rd and 4th grade class, during the 1st service, for the school year. 

• Nursery workers needed 3rd week of 2nd service and 4th week of 1st service. Contact Jennie Salters 402-322-3733

• There are a few more slots open for December Greeters. Sign up Here or call Jan Smith at 402-322-1272.

• The Christmas Church Dinner is December 7th. If you would like to bring a dish please sign up Here or use the signup sheet in the church foyer.

• Hope is still needing soups for the Young Adult Mixer on Dec. 5th. Please contact her at 402-322-3567

• What are VBC Service Groups?

These volunteer groups are a two-month (consecutive) commitment of serving on a work crew for events happening within our church. They help with set up, decorating, kitchen duty and clean-up for an event. Usually there are only one or two events to serve during your two-month commitment.

Each group has 2 Service Group Co-Chairs who lead the group (Service Group Committee) and communicate assignments and responsibilities for an upcoming event. Groups determine the menu and plan for providing the meal (i.e. potluck style or specific menu, necessary sign-up sheets available through our member site, work crews, decorations if desired, etc.).
